My solution for “Finding Nemo” Puzzle:

Couple of day’s back when I was viewing my blog I observed a post from Pradeep Soundararajan speaking about the Importance of Testers learning to write code. For that he developed a puzzle in Perl script called “Finding Nemo” he released it for testing world and challenged testers to find the logic of the puzzle using Reverse Engineering.

As I am interested in gaming field (especially Puzzle games) I downloaded the game and started solving it, finally after spending a day full on that I solved the puzzle.

First of all I want to thank Pradeep Soundararajan for such wonderful puzzle, I don’t remember a day when I have strained myself to that extent for the last time and after solving the puzzle I got back my confidence in solving puzzles.

I suggest you to give a try to solve Finding Nemo Puzzle before going through the solution for Finding Nemo.

Importance of Emotional screens in a product.

Hi every one,
Recently when I was looking for some project for testing unfortunately I installed software called IMBooster.Later I realized that this is not the one which I am looking for and I started of uninstalling that product finally when I came to the last step of un-installation I was really pleased with the emotional screen they used and you will not believe that because of that I again installed the software and started using it.

With this experience, as a tester I realized the importance of testing(Checking) emotional screens in the product which most of the products are missing out.

I am sharing the screen which makes me so pleased..

Severity of the BUG

I have seen most of the testers around me spends time in thinking the severity of the bug while reporting it in that case I will say “thinking is such a waste of time” because there is nothing like high severity bug and low severity bug the severity of the bug mainly depends on how good you pointed out the consequences that might occur because of it.
So pointing out the consequences is as important as finding the bugs, In that cases every bug will be SEVERITY 1 (Must fix).

Credits: Actually while writing this post I saw an advertisement of Hero Honda bike with caption “Thinking is such a waste of time” and I used it
Thanks to Hero Honda.

How far the validation of phone number field in a form is important?

When I was testing a product for some organization, I found that the phone number field was not validated properly as it was accepting more than 100 numbers and even accepting special symbols and alphabets as soon as I found that I raised a bug, but I heard a strange response from the developers that this was there from the days of release and they made it as suggestion bug and closed

So now what my question is how important validating a phone number field in a form?

Waiting for your valuable comments
